Bahrain is an archipelago of more than 36 islands roughly located in the
middle-south of the Gulf, 22 km off the east coast of Saudi Arabia and slightly further from the
western
coast of Qatar. It lies between latitude 25 degrees 32 seconds & 26 degrees and 20 seconds North and
longitude 50 degrees 20 seconds & 50 degrees 50 seconds.
Bahrain island accounts for 85% of the total area. Muharraq island is 3.25%,
Sitra 2.07%, Nabih Saleh.
